MAY 14, 2015 SPECIAL MEETING
A Special meeting of the Town of Hartland, County of Niagara, State of New York, was held on the above date at the Town Hall, 8942 Ridge Road, Gasport convening at 3:00 p.m.
Members present:
Board members met with United Wind to discuss different turbine options. A smaller model was presented which would provide 2 intermediate turbines. The energy produced would power 97% of the Town's property but would not include the Fire Hall. These turbines would be similar to the ones in Royalton, however, built on a grid structure without guide wires.
The plans would remain basically the same, with varying payment options. The cost for each of the smaller turbines is $22,000.00 and the program would need to be approved by October of 2015. After the grant is approved, with NYSERDA, the project must be completed within one year.
Meeting was adjourned at 4:00 p. m.
