The regular meeting of the Town of Hartland, County of Niagara, State of New York, was held on the above date at the Town Hall, 8942 Ridge Road, Gasport convening at 7:30 p.m.

RESOLUTION 106-2015

MOTION by Councilman Reed, seconded by Councilman Gross to adopt the minutes of the July 9, 2015 meeting as presented.

MOTION by Councilman Reed, seconded by Councilman Gross resolved that the following bills, as prepared by the Clerk and having been reviewed by the Town Board, be authorized for payment in the following amounts:

Michael Hartman reported that he had been at a Carmen Road property all day.  The SPCA had called Code Enforcement to investigate the condition of that property.

PUBLIC PARTICIPATION:     None  

OLD BUSINESS:

Supervisor Annable gave an update to the status of the broadband project.  Hartland and Ridgeway will be the 2 initial Towns to participate, since not all of the RFP’s met the qualifications for the other Towns.  The installation could be in the future since there needs to be more funds in order to build out.                                

NEW BUSINESS:

Introduction of Local Law 4-2015

A Local Law amending the “Winter Parking” provision of Chapter 103 of the Code of the

August 13, 2015

Town of Hartland

Said Local Law would continue the prohibition on parking on a highway between the hours of 2:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. from November 1 of any year to April 1 of the year immediately following.  Said Local Law also prohibits parking on a highway in the Town of Hartland at any other such time when the presence on the highway of such vehicle does or may interfere with, hinder or hamper snow plowing or snow removal operations.

RESOLUTION 109-2015

MOTION by Councilman Hill, seconded by Councilman Gross to set the Public Hearing for the Local Law amending the Winter Parking provision of Chapter ₤ 103-2 for September 10, 2015 at 7:30 p.m.

Supervisor Annable and Board members set a date for the annual inspection of the Highway fleet and equipment.  Inspection will take place September 10, 2015 at 6 p.m.

MOTION by Councilman Reed, seconded by Councilman Gross that since there is no further business to come before the board, the meeting be adjourned at   7:50 p. m.
